Service Notice: EOS C300 / C300PL Cinema EOS Cameras: Firmware Update Version 1.0.6.1.00

Canon has released a firmware update for the EOS C300/C300 PL Cinema EOS Cameras.

Firmware
Firmware Version 1.0.6.1.00 incorporates the following features:
    1. Genlock synchronization can now be used to synchronize the camera’s 24.00P, 24.00PsF, 23.98P, and 23.98PsF input
      signals.
    2. Adds the Korean language to the camera’s menu.
    3. Minor corrections to simplified Chinese language menus.

    Note: Firmware version 1.0.5.1.00 incorporates item 1 and 2 above. If you have version 1.0.5.1.00, it is not necessary to update to version
    1.0.6.1.00, unless you use simplified Chinese language.

Firmware Version 1.0.6.1.00 is for EOS C300/EOS C300PL cameras with Firmware Version 1.0.2.1.00 through 1.0.5.1.00. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.0.6.1.00, it is not necessary to update the firmware.
Once the camera is updated to the latest version, it cannot be restored to a previous version.
