EOS: Wireless, with EOS Remote
The Canon EOS Remote app brings the power of EOS to a smartphone screen. Linking an iOS or Android smartphone with a compatible EOS camera makes remote, wireless photography incredibly easy. Check composition while in wireless range, adjust focus, release the shutter, plus review, transfer and share images to popular social media sites.
Compose & Capture
With a wireless EOS camera and the Canon EOS Remote app, it’s as if the dials, buttons and viewing screen from the back of the camera were moved onto a smartphone. The EOS Remote app displays the Live View image plus shooting information such as aperture, shutter speed settings, autofocus, and allows you to remotely release the shutter. No matter where the camera is set up, as long as it’s in wireless range, when Live View. Useful for self-portraits and group shots, wildlife and nature photography, or shooting from a distance, it’s as simple as the push of a button with the EOS Remote app.
Composing
By setting the camera on a surface or a tripod and connecting the EOS Remote app, it’s easy to use Live View features and compose pictures, vertically or horizontally, right on a smartphone screen.
AF Operation
Focus with the EOS Remote app is a breeze. Selecting, activating, locking and even expanding the focused frame is both intuitive and quick on the smartphone’s screen – operation couldn’t be simpler.
Camera Settings
The EOS Remote app enables wireless camera operation. The app makes it simple to control parameters like aperture, shutter speed and ISO – it’s all laid out on the smartphone’s screen.
Remote Release
The EOS Remote app achieves quick and easy image capture with one touch shooting, or use a focus button for precise focus, slide your finger to the shutter button and release to take a photo.
Play & Review
Searching, viewing, organizing and erasing images shot on a compatible EOS camera is incredibly fast and simple with the EOS Remote app installed on a smartphone; it’s as if you are holding the back of the camera in your hands.
Not only do photos look amazing viewed on the smartphone screen, images can be viewed and sorted by date, folder or rating.
Transfer & Share
With the EOS Remote app, transferring, saving and sharing photos* is a breeze. Easily save images to a smartphone with a simple touch of a button, share to social networking sites, or send by email. For optimal quality and speed of transmission, images transferred from camera to smartphone are converted from RAW or large JPEG to S2 JPEG size (1920x1280).
* The EOS Remote app can only transfer still images. Before uploading images, please be aware that image files may contain privacy related information such as people and places. If necessary, please delete such information. Canon does not obtain, collect or use such images or any information included in such images through this software.
Compatible EOS Camera
The Canon EOS Remote app requires the use of a Canon EOS camera with built-in WiFi®.
