Compact & Rugged Design, Dust- & Water-Resistant
The EOS 6D Mark II camera is built for uninterrupted performance, even when conditions get messy. The battery compartment cover, card slot cover, lens mount, terminal covers and buttons are weather sealed to help keep water and dust out. The EOS 6D Mark II’s high precision aluminum alloy and polycarbonate resin construction ensures the camera is lightweight and durable, remaining capable in a variety of scenarios.
VERSATILITY
Vari-angle LCD with Touch Screen Capability
The EOS 6D Mark II camera comes with a Vari-angle Touch Screen 3.0-inch Clear View LCD monitor II for shooting videos and stills at a variety of angles, high or low, with up to 270° of vertical rotation and up to 175° of horizontal rotation. Whether shooting with a tripod or handheld, the EOS 6D Mark II’s LCD excels in moviemaking at virtually any number of angles and positions, making it easy to create great videos of weddings, traveling, kids in the park, documentary interviews and more. The screen is touch-sensitive, delivering intuitive touch panel operation. Two-finger touch gestures can be used for zooming or changing images. Menu and quick control settings can be accessed, and focus point and shutter release can be activated with the touch of a fingertip using Touch AF. Displaying fine detail (at approximately 1.04 million dots), this screen can be ideal for composing and reviewing images. The LCD's surface is also treated with a smudge-resistant coating to help minimize fingerprints and maintain a bright, clear image display, even in bright light.
Scene Mode
The EOS 6D Mark II camera’s Special Scene mode, found on the camera’s control dial, now features Group Photo and Panning modes to make these challenging photographic situations easy. Group Photo is the perfect scene mode to achieve accurate focus on nearly any number of people, without blurring. The aperture, shutter speed and ISO speed are automatically set to obtain a deeper depth of field and faster shutter speed. With Panning mode, shutter speed settings are adjusted automatically to match the speed of the subject as tracked by the camera. This means sharp and accurate photographs of moving subjects with less blur.
Interval & Bulb Timer
For impressive effects in photographs and movies, the EOS 6D Mark II camera has Interval shooting and Bulb shooting (specified exposure time) timers that are easily accessible through the camera’s menu. With the Interval Timer, it’s easy to record changes in subjects over an interval of time, creating movies of flowers blooming, sunrises, sunsets and more. With Bulb mode, it’s simple to preset the exposure time to capture long exposures of a variety of scenes from starry skies to light trails. Use Battery Grip BG-E21 for situations when longer exposure times are necessary.

Battery Grip BG-E21
Battery Grip BG-E21 is excellent for high volume and vertical shooting. It features numerous buttons to mirror horizontal operation and is compatible with a Video Boss for movie shooting on a tripod. Plus, it extends operational time when using features like the EOS 6D Mark II camera’s Interval and Bulb timers.
Remote Controllers
The Bluetooth® enabled Wireless Remote Control BR-E1 enables wireless focusing for still and video recording. Operating distance is approximately 16 ft. in any direction. Wireless Remote Controller RC-6 enables wireless camera operation and shutter release.
Directional Microphone DM-E1
Directional Microphone DM-E1 can help the EOS 6D Mark II camera achieve high-quality audio when recording video. It has a shotgun mode for focused recording, stereo mode for ambient sound and a Wind Screen to minimize unwanted noise.
Speedlite 270EX II

Bounce Photography
Photography with the EOS 6D Mark II camera is significantly enhanced through the use of the Speedlite 270EX II’s bounce feature. By pointing the flash head up 90°, it’s easy to bounce the light off the ceiling to create more depth and drama in the recorded image.

The compact and lightweight EF 24–105mm f/3.5–5.6 IS STM lens includes a lead screw-type stepping motor (STM) for smooth, quiet AF and tracking while shooting movies or still images. It’s bundled with the EOS 6D Mark II in this excellent kit combination.
