The REALiS SX6000 D is a high-performance SXGA+ (1400 x 1050) resolution installation multimedia projector employing Canon's AISYS-enhanced LCOS technology and interchangeable Genuine Canon lenses to deliver spectacularly clear and rich images. This model also offers 6000 lumens of brightness, ease of installation and maintenance, and powered lens shift which can be operated in both vertical and horizontal directions. A wired remote option allows the remote use of the REALiS SX6000 D in situations where obstacles block a direct line of sight between the operator and projector.
The REALiS SX6000 D features a DICOM Simulation Mode which allows for the viewing of monochrome digital X-Rays, CAT Scans and MRI's with accurate grayscale rendition and precise detail. This special mode ensures accuracy and consistency in compliance with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standard, making it the ideal large venue projector for those in the medical education and training fields.
Other features of this high-resolution projector include an HDMI terminal (version 1.3 Deep Color) for projection of high-quality digital images and uncompressed 1080p video, as well as a built-in network connection (RJ-45) for remote network operation. The projector's expanded color space and advanced optics mean that the 6000 lumens of the REALiS SX6000 deliver razor-sharp, brilliant results, without the need to 'over specify' the lumens required to compensate for loss in brightness typically associated with wide or long throw lenses. Greater eco-efficiency has also been achieved with the REALiS SX6000 D, which consumes a class-leading 0.0725 W/lm.
The REALiS SX6000 D is the perfect choice for installations in medical educational, corporate or museum settings in which the greatest level of detail and contrast in images must be seen and offers outstanding performance in the reproduction of 4:3 aspect ratio high resolution images. With no organic polarizing element in the new AISYS 4.1 Optical Engine, the REALiS SX6000 D is also suitable to run for extended periods as might be required.
Canon’s REALiS SX6000 D brings true reproduction of content from 4:3 ratio sources in high-resolution SXGA+. The fine detail delivers clarity to the furthest seat in a boardroom, conference room or lecture hall. Every element of an X-ray, CAT scan or MRI displayed can be viewed with precise detail. Compared to XGA projectors, the REALiS SX6000 D’s SXGA+ resolution shows a significantly larger display area, delivering razor-sharp precision in projected images. This model allows the display of 1400x1050 or 1280x1084 content without compression, showing the true proportions of the source image on the screen just as it appears on your computer monitor. ![]() The REALiS SX6000 D incorporates Canon’s latest developments in our AISYS (Aspectual Illumination System) Optical System with AISYS 4.1 and a new LCOS panel. They come together to deliver brilliant, ultra-sharp images in almost any environment. Next-Generation LCOS Technology AISYS 4.1 Optical Engine Brighter, truer color comes from the AC lamp system of the REALiS SX6000 D and the AISYS Optical Engine. The colors on the screen have a more life-like depth thanks to the purity of red and green when compared with conventional DC lamps. In addition, this lamp system boasts an extended operating life, up to 3000 hours in normal or quiet mode. The elimination of the organic polarizing element in the new AISYS 4.1 Optical Engine also gives the REALiS SX6000 D the ability to run for extended periods as might be required. LCOS technology combined with Canon's exclusive AISYS Optical Engine, the AC lamp system, and 6,000 lumens, make the REALiS SX6000 Da brilliant high-performance installation projector with few rivals. The REALiS SX6000 D features a DICOM Simulation image mode setting that allows the projector to simulate medical imaging in compliance with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) Part 14 standardized display function for display of grayscale images. Images such as X-rays, CAT scans, and MRIs that are typically displayed on DICOM compliant monitors can now be simulated via large projected images by the REALiS SX6000 D. This new feature is recommended for use in medical schools for training and educational use only, and not for diagnostic purposes. The 4:3 aspect ratio of the REALiS SX6000 D is especially suited for use in medical educational environments. ![]() Project x-rays and other monochrome images with precise detail and clarity. The REALiS SX6000 D projector gives you the choice of three interchangeable Genuine Canon lenses. Canon is renowned for our expertise and achievement in lens design and construction - in fact the optical technology developed for our acclaimed EOS series of SLR cameras is reflected in the development of our projection lenses. Either the1.5x Standard Zoom Lens (RS-IL01ST), Long Focus Zoom Lens (RS-IL02LZ), or Ultra Wide Angle Lens (RS-IL03WF) can be used with the REALiS SX6000 D depending on the application. A standout feature of these Genuine Canon lenses is their lack of brightness loss compared to lenses fitted to competitor’s products. Why is that important? Because you will no longer need to ‘over specify’ brightness in order to compensate for loss, which is common with wide or long throw lenses. That can have a real impact on the price you pay for your installation projector. All three lenses share the benefits of specifically designed aspherical lenses to deliver high-quality images with a small footprint. In fact, all three lenses are similar in size and fit in the same space on the projector. The REALiS SX6000 Dprojector is not cleared or approved for medical diagnosis and should not be used for these purposes. The lens shift capability of all three lenses ably assists in allowing maximum flexibility for a wide variety of installation situations. The range of adjustment for the lenses is as follows:
You can be virtually assured that the REALiS SX6000 D can be optimally placed, and since lens shift doesn’t degrade the image the way digital keystone correction can, the extraordinary quality of your projected images is not compromised. With dimensions of 15.0"W x 6.7"H x 16.9"D and a weight of 18.7lbs (not including lens), the REALiS SX6000 D makes installation easy in a wide variety of applications.
The direct power on/off feature of the REALiS SX6000 D allows for more flexible installation on ceilings or walls. It will automatically turn on the projector when the power cord is plugged into an outlet and off when the plug is removed. There is no need to press the power button on the projector, which might be difficult in certain installation situations.

Like all REALiS Projectors, the REALiS SX6000 D includes Canon's high-accuracy color controls, which ensure accurate color reproduction and compensate for color variances due to lighting differences. High brightness and contrast produce rich, detailed gradations even in the shadowed portions of images - recreating depth and dimension with stunning drama and REALiSm. The REALiS SX6000 D features a color processing algorithm, along with a highly accurate 3D LUT (Look Up Table). Conventional systems shift neighboring colors along with the selected color, often resulting in an imbalance in the image. The REALiS SX6000 D allows precise color correction.
