AF Area Coverage of Approx. 88% x 100%^
The EOS M200 camera features an expansive focus area of approx. 88% horizontal and 100% vertical when working with select EF-M lenses (and select EF and EF-S lenses with the optional EF-EOS M adapter). With other EF-M (or EF and EF-S) lenses, the M200 camera focuses approx. 80% horizontally and 80% vertically. This means fast and impressive focusing even if your subject is way off center.
^ When shooting still photos. Actual coverage varies depending on the lens in use.
The EOS M200 camera features a powerful 24.1 Megapixel CMOS (APS-C) sensor that can capture high-resolution images and beautiful 4K video. Take photos and videos with fine details and dynamic, rich colors from the deepest reds to emerald greens to lush blues and purples. Simply turn the camera on and feel confident that the results will be stunning.
DIGIC 8 Image Processor

When using high ISO settings, the image processor helps keep results sharp and detailed in virtually any lighting situation. Powerful all around, the DIGIC 8 Image Processor helps ensure your photos and videos look sharp and lifelike with minimal noise or grain.
4K Video, 4K Time-lapse Movie^
Capture 4K videos at a frame rate of up to 24p for high definition, cinematic results. Recording at almost four times the resolution of Full HD, you can see your subject in stunning clarity. Beautiful time-lapse videos can also be created in 4K simply and easily with the dedicated Time-lapse Movie mode. All of this is possible in-camera without the need for additional software.
^ Saving a still image from a single movie frame may not result in the same image quality as a normal still image.
Vertical Video Support*
Enjoy creating videos in the vertical position* and sharing to your preferred social media network with the EOS M200 camera’s Vertical Video feature. Great for the vlogger guru, the vertical video support allows you to mix up your shot length and camera angles to make your videos interesting, and unique.
The EOS M200 camera features a high-resolution, 3.0-inch Touch Panel LCD screen that tilts up 180° and down 45°, great for taking that picture-perfect selfie at high and low angles with ease. The multi-angle LCD screen encourages creative framing because it's easy to achieve a flexible array of camera angles.
Built-in Bluetooth®** Technology
Bluetooth®** pairing helps you connect the camera to compatible smart devices using the free Canon Camera Connect app*. This low-energy wireless connection helps preserve battery life while allowing remote control of the EOS M200 camera. It also sends continuously updated GPS^ location data from your phone, letting you geotag what you've captured so you can know precisely where you took that stunning vacation photo.
Built-in Wi-Fi®*** Technology
The EOS M200 camera is designed to make using Wi-Fi®*** connectivity fast and easy. It can transfer files directly to a compatible smart device using the free Canon Camera Connect app. Simply connect to the Camera Connect app* to transfer images to your smart device, then share and upload from the device directly to various social media sites and web services or print directly to compatible wireless Canon printers.
Images and effects are simulated.
Remote Shooting
Wireless capabilities also allow you to use your compatible smart devices with the Canon Camera Connect app* to remotely control the camera, which is useful for selfies and group shots or for shooting from a distance (as long as the camera is in wireless range).
Automatic Image Transfer^^
Backing up your photos and videos is easy with the EOS M200 camera, which can automatically send what you've captured to your computer and other compatible devices. After the initial setup with Image Transfer Utility 2, all you need to do is leave your camera on when it's connected to a Wi-Fi® network and the files will be sent without any further effort from you.
^ In certain countries and regions, the use of GPS may be restricted. Therefore, be sure to use GPS in accordance with the laws and regulations of your country or region. Be particularly careful when traveling outside your home country. As a signal is received from GPS satellites, take sufficient measures when using in locations where the use of electronics is regulated.
^^ It is necessary to download and install Canon's Image Transfer Utility 2. Connect the camera and computer each to your home network, and only the camera must be paired with ITU2 the first time.
Great for nighttime photography or in low light settings, the EOS M200 camera's AF can help capture sharp images. With a standard ISO sensitivity range of 100-25600 for stills and 100-12800 for video (100-6400 for 4K video & Time-lapse movie shooting), images can be captured with low noise and high detail.
Creative Assist
Making it simple to change camera settings and see the results in real time, the Canon EOS M200 camera’s built-in Creative Assist feature helps you find just the right look to match the emotion or tone of the image. On top of that, you can enjoy recording videos or take a quick still image with a customizable self-timer — located directly on the LCD screen — to help make sure you capture the scenario that you want. Whether you need two seconds to flash a quick smile or ten seconds to gather your friends together, the EOS M200 camera is ideal for capturing a fun outing event.
Whether it's the bride saying "I do" or your newborn baby sleeping, the EOS M200 camera’s Silent Mode helps you make sure that your camera doesn't startle your subject by enabling capture with virtually no shutter sound. This means you can shoot precious moments without worrying about distracting them.
