Canon introduces the new imageCLASS MF249dw and imageCLASS MF244dw in Latin America

These compact MFP models can help streamline workflows and increase productivity

MELVILLE, N.Y. November 15, 2016 - Canon U.S.A., Inc. - Latin America Group, a leader in digital imaging solutions, is pleased to announce the imageCLASS MF240 Series of multifunction laser printers (MFPs) . Building on the quality and reliability of the imageCLASS portfolio, the imageCLASS MF249dw and MF244dw, provide customers, from students to small offices, with compact MFPs that can help increase flexibility and efficiency.

These new imageCLASS MFPs feature:

• Mobile Enhacements

Improving on the capabilities of respective predecessor models (imageCLASS MF229dw, MF226dn and MF216n) these new imageCLASS models are designed to provide users with increased mobile functionality. Among the new features for the imageCLASS MF249dw and MF244dw, is wireless direct connection, allowing users to easily connect up to five compatible portable computing devices, including tablets, smartphones and laptops, at once without the need for a router. Users of the new MF240 series of imageCLASS MFPs can also utilize their Mobile-optimized Remote User Interface to easily check the status and change the settings of the device from mobile devices.

• System Enhancements

The imageCLASS MF249dw modes features a Send function, allowing users to easily scan and directly send scanned documents to their email, or network folder without a PC application, helping to save time and streamline workflow. For increased usability, the MF249dw features a tiltable wide-screen touch panel LCD screen, allowing customers to easily navigate through the menu, helping to complete tasks more quickly. With IEEE802.1x, SSL and SNMPv3, all the new models feature enhanced security protocols, for use in more secure office environments.
