Canon U.S.A. - Latin America Group announces the Océ PlotWave® 500 monochrome printing system
MELVILLE, N.Y., March 21, 2015 – Canon USA, Inc., Latin America Group is pleased to announce the launch of the Océ PlotWave® 500 monochrome printing system. It scales up speed and print volumes for architects and engineers in large format printing, copying and scanning. They can easily print a whopping 600 sheets an hour, with virtually no warm-up delay. These productive capabilities enable users to print faster, share faster and finish projects faster, making the Océ PlotWave® 500 a labour saving investment.
The Océ PlotWave® 500 saves professionals the time and money of sending files to an external printer. It’s built for fast production – cranking out an impressive 10 pages per minute and up to 4 rolls of media. That’s up to 600 sheets per hour! It starts printing from silent mode in less than 17 seconds thanks to Océ Radiant Fusing technology, compared to a slow start-up of 4 minutes for conventional printers. That can easily save an hour a day or more just in printing delays. Smart multi-tasking saves even more time. Scan while printing and copy while printing.
The PlotWave® 500 is based on Océ technology found in thousands of systems worldwide. Constructed of durable, hard-wearing parts and supported by our Remote Service, it provides dependable up-time with fewer jams, shorter downtime and fewer service calls.
Being able to send files to your printer from anywhere can give professionals a big advantage when time is tight and deadlines are looming. The Océ ClearConnect software suite provides more flexible ways to submit files to the printer. Users can print from their desktop via Océ Publisher Select to manage complex document sets. They can print from their Smartphone when they are rushing to a meeting or from the cloud at home. Knowing they can print when they need to, can take some of the stress out of the work day.
There is no need to waste time training workers on a complicated system thanks to the Océ ClearConnect multi-touch user panel. It works like a Smartphone so there is zero learning curve. The simple layout, smart kick-starts and detailed preview functions help users get their prints faster, without errors, even when they are stored in the cloud or have just arrived in an e-mail on their mobile phone. Everything from media roll placement and toner loading to print job management has been carefully designed to be ergonomically correct and intuitive.
Designed to work side-by-side with people, the Océ PlotWave® 500 is a people-friendly and planet-friendly choice. It produces very low ozone emissions, very low levels of noise and low levels of heat. In fact this system is totally silent in idle mode and generates only 52 db(A) of noise when working. That’s the sound of a gentle rain shower compared to a noisy vacuum cleaner that other systems may sound like. This system can be placed in the corner of an office or anywhere else without disrupting people’s work. The Océ PlotWave® 500 also provides the lowest energy usage in its class through its Océ Radiant Fusing technology. It cuts energy consumption in half.
Easy for everyone:The Océ PlotWave® 500 runs on the universal Océ software suite that looks and works the same across all Océ wide format systems. Users can define job settings, run tasks on the Océ ClearConnect multi-touch user panel, driver or submission tool in the same way on all Océ color and black & white systems.
