MELVILLE, N.Y., December 16, 2014 – Canon Latin America Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, announced today three models in the new MAXIFY series of Wireless1 Inkjet printers for the small office/home office (SOHO) user: the MAXIFY MB5310 Wireless Inkjet Small Office All-In-One (AIO) printer, MAXIFY MB2010 Wireless Inkjet Home Office AIO printer, and MAXIFY iB4010 Wireless Inkjet Small Office printer. Designed with small and home office users in mind, these Wi-Fi® enabled printers offer enhanced features including high-quality, low cost per print, quick first print and cloud printing capabilities2, 3, 4.

“Canon is committed to supporting small and home office business users and has specifically designed the MAXIFY printer series with features that this market is looking for, such as high-quality printing with fast printing times, and a low total cost of ownership so users can focus on growing their business,” said Kenji Kobayashi, President of Canon Latin America Inc.  “Convenient access to our Latin America Calling Center for service and support also gives our consumers peace of mind that they can speak with a Canon representative about their printer’s capabilities and features.”

All of the Canon MAXIFY printers feature high ink and paper capacities, fast first print-out speeds of approximately seven seconds for black-and-white documents, high print quality and durability as well as easy operation. Featuring a new print head and mechanical system, the printers use a new Dual Resistant High Density (DRHD) individual ink tank system designed to produce graphs with vivid colors and sharp, optical density, crisp text, which is friction and marker resistant. The optional XL-size ink tank can print up to 2,500 pages in black and 1,500 colored sheets before needing to be replaced for the MAXIFY MB5310 and MAXIFY iB4010, whereas the MAXIFY MB2010 can print up to 1,200 pages in black and 900 colored sheets before needing to be replaced.

In addition, to help conserve energy, each of the new machines feature the ability to automatically-schedule on and off times, and offer an overlapping paper feed for further flexibility when printing large jobs.

Canon developed the new line of MAXIFY printers to help improve efficiency and the user’s overall workflow by providing easy access to print important documents from almost anywhere. With the MAXIFY Printing Solutions2 application, users are provided direct access to the cloud through MAXIFY Cloud Link3 from compatible mobile devices and tablets. Attractive to small business users on-the-go, MAXIFY Cloud Link enables documents and photos to be accessed and printed at any time from a compatible mobile device or tablet by connecting to several of the most popular online social platforms and services, such as Microsoft One Drive®, Google Drive™, Dropbox®, Evernote®, Facebook®, Twitter®, Flickr®, and Photobucket®.

Adding to the overall wireless capabilities of the MAXIFY line of printers is Google Cloud Print4, which allows users to send Gmail messages, file attachments and select Google Docs to the printer from any computer, tablet or smartphone.

Outstanding Productivity:

Built on a foundation that includes high-quality imaging technology, the Canon MAXIFY MB5310 Wireless Inkjet Small Office AIO printer allows users to maximize productivity with convenient print, copy, fax and scan functionality in a fully networkable device. The Advanced Media Handling capabilities of this printer include a 50-sheet Duplexing Auto Document Feeder (ADF) for quick, two-sided copying and scanning in addition to a new function Single pass two-sided scan to help improve efficiency. With this new technology, two CIS sensors simultaneously scan the front and back of a document as it moves through the ADF, saving valuable time when large batches of double-sided documents need to be processed.

The printer also features a 3-inch touch LCD screen for users to easily complete tasks, such as scanning to email, downloading documents from the cloud, and storing scanned data and received faxes directly on a file server for internal information sharing. Enhancing the functionality of the machine, is the high-capacity print output at approximately 23 images per minute5 (ipm) for black-and-white documents and 15 ipm5 for color, and a 30,000-page monthly duty cycle6.

Another feature of the printer is a 500-sheet paper capacity with two trays each containing 250 sheets to help ensure that paper will not run out unexpectedly. With the two paper trays, users can load one tray with standard paper and the other with specialty paper to avoid having to reload when changing types of print jobs, thereby saving time.

For the home-office market, the MAXIFY MB2010 Wireless Inkjet Home Office AIO printer allows users to print, copy, fax and scan. The 250-sheet paper capacity and 15,000-page monthly duty cycle6 helps home-office users be efficient. The 2.5-inch LCD screen panel provides easy access to all printer functions, including print, copy, scan to email, scan to cloud, and all related printer information. The MAXIFY MB2010 printer provides a print output of approximately 16 ipm5 for black-and-white documents and 11 ipm5 for color.

The MAXIFY iB4010 Wireless Inkjet Small Office printer provides high-capacity printing at a low cost per print. Featuring a 500-sheet paper capacity with two trays each containing 250 sheets and a monthly duty cycle of 30,000-pages6, this fully networkable printer is built as a workhorse, providing a print output of approximately 23 ipm5 for black-and-white documents5 and 15 ipm5 for color.
