Canon Latin America expands cloud-connected printer line with five PIXMA printer models
MELVILLE, N.Y., August 26, 2014 – Canon Latin America Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, announced today the addition of four new PIXMA Wireless1 All-In-One Inkjet Photo (AIO) printers – the PIXMA MG7510, MG6610, MG5610 and MG2910 printers. In addition, we are also proud to announce the new wireless and portable PIXMA iP110 printer – that make wireless, cloud-connected printing easy. Complete with PIXMA Printing Solutions2 (PPS) and the new mobile-friendly Canon Easy-PhotoPrint+3 Web application, editing and printing treasured photos with these new PIXMA printers are designed to be superb in quality, seamless and personalized at an affordable price.
PIXMA Printing Solutions2 (PPS), featured in all of the new models, provides access to the cloud directly from compatible printers, mobile devices and tablets. Users can easily print and send images and documents directly from several of the most popular online social platforms and services such as Facebook®, Twitter®, Flickr®, Photobucket®, Dropbox™, Evernote®, Creative Park and Creative Park Premium along with the newly supported Google DriveTM and Microsoft OneDrive®. With PPS, users can also check ink model number information, online printer user manuals and other important printer information.
Enhancing the cloud capabilities of the new printer lineup is Easy-PhotoPrint+3. The free Web-based application provides users access to photos from their local drive or social platform to create a large variety of editing options, including photo prints, collages, calendars, cards, layouts and stickers. With Easy-PhotoPrint+3, accessible on mobile devices and computers (PC and Mac), projects can be started and saved on one device, and continued on another device at a later time.
Other key functions of the new printers include the updated PIXMA Cloud Link4, for sharing scanned documents and photos easily by scanning data directly to email, or attaching scanned data to a draft email in their webmail account. Additionally, PictBridge5 (Wireless LAN) functionality allows compatible Canon digital cameras to connect directly to the printer – eliminating the need of a computer. With Access Point Mode, users can also connect to their PIXMA printers directly through Wi-Fi without needing to be connected to a router.

With all the photo-printing benefits photography enthusiasts yearn for, the Canon PIXMA MG7510 Wireless Inkjet Photo AIO printer features advanced media handling with a dual front tray, direct disc printing and six individual ink tanks producing output at a maximum color resolution of 9600 x 2400 dpi6. Sporting a compact footprint, the printer has a 3.5-inch LCD touchscreen with Canon's Intelligent Touch System for easy viewing and navigating of menus and images. New to this model is PIXMA Touch & Print7 (Active NFC), allowing users with compatible mobile devices already installed with the PPS app to simply open PPS and touch the NFC Active Tag on the top of the printer while viewing the picture in PPS to begin printing without the need for Wi-Fi®.
The Canon PIXMA MG6610 Wireless Inkjet Photo AIO printer features a Passive NFC version of PIXMA Touch & Print7 technology, with similar functionality as Active NFC except that both the mobile device and the printer will have to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network in order to print. The printer also features a 3-inch LCD touchscreen and produces stunning, high-quality images along with sharp documents for the home or home office thanks to a five-color hybrid ink system.
The PIXMA MG5610 Wireless Inkjet Photo AIO Printer produces high-quality photo prints and documents using five individual ink tanks. The 2.5-inch LCD screen allows easy access to printer functions including PIXMA Cloud Link4 and Google Cloud Print8. The PIXMA MG5610 will be available in black and white with a matte finish.
The wireless-enabled Canon PIXMA MG2910 printer allows users to easily and conveniently print memories from almost anywhere. The sleek and elegant MG2910 printer is ideal for any home-office environment with new Easy PhotoPrint+3 software and improved PIXMA Printing Solutions2.In addition, the MG2910 printer offers Power On/Off function, so even if the printer was not previously in use; print requests can be quickly fulfilled. For added efficiency and easy access, the printer counts with its own Access Point Mode, enabling printing without the need of a PC or LCD screen.
The PIXMA iP110 printer is ideal for the consumers that require a portable and wireless printer for documents and photographs on the go. The new PIXMA iP110 offers a wireless connectivity using Access Point Mode to print with directly from your compatible smartphone or tablet without the need of a PC as well as PictBridge5 (Wireless LAN) to print directly from compatible Canon digital cameras. This new portable wireless printer also includes a printing resolution of 9600 dpi6, a compact size and slim design for easy portability.
