Canon announces the new imageRUNNER 1643 Series in Latin America

MELVILLE, N.Y., November, 5, 2019 – Canon U.S.A., Inc.- Latin America Group is pleased to announce that the imageRUNNER 1643 Series, designed to provide a reliable, easy-to-maintain, and cost-efficient solution for environments that require black-and-white printing, copying, and scanning on letter- and legal-sized paper, is now available for ordering.

The imageRUNNER 1643 Series, successor of the imageRUNNER 1435+ Series, is well suited for small businesses and corporate departments that depend on an MFP or printer that is productive, reliable, easy to use, and easy to manage. The compact design and flexible configuration of these models make them a good fit for customers with space constraints. The imageRUNNER 1643 Series models are also well suited for fleet environments and MDS (Managed Document Services) opportunities, for which they provide consistency with the other models within the third generation imageRUNNER ADVANCE and imageCLASS product lines, particularly in the areas of usability, inclusion of a strong security feature set, integrated solutions, and device management tools.

Support for uniFLOW Online and uniFLOW Online Express for the imageRUNNER 1643i/1643iF models is available as well as uniFLOW Server support for all three models.

The imageRUNNER 1643 Series consists of the following three models:

• imageRUNNER 1643iF: 5" Touch Screen Display, Single Pass Duplex Automatic Document Feeder, Wireless LAN, Post Script Standard, Fax
• imageRUNNER 1643i: 5" Touch Screen Display, Single Pass Duplex Automatic Document Feeder, Wireless LAN, Post Script Optional
• imageRUNNER 1643P: 3.5" 5 line Display Post Script Standard

All models in the series provide printing at up to 45 pages per minute. The imageRUNNER 1643iF and 1643i models feature a single-pass duplexing automatic document feeder with impressive scan speeds of up to 70 images per minute, while also supporting Application Library to allow for the time-saving registration of frequently used operations and convenient functions on the Home Screen. The addition of optional paper cassettes or a cabinet allow for either desktop or floor-standing configurations.
