Canon launches new models into the imagePROGRAF lineup

These powerhouse printing systems are designed to enhance productivity for large workgroups. Easy-to-use, high production printing solutions for any professional with a need for producing intricately detailed full-color renderings, technical drawings, GIS maps, and other large-format output.

Melville, N.Y., September 1, 2015. - Canon U.S.A., Inc., - Latin America Group is pleased to announce the launch of six new models into the award winning imagePROGRAF lineup: three new 5-color large format inkjet printers - the 44” iPF850 with High Capacity Stacker and the 44” iPF840 and iPF830 models as well as three new large-format scanning systems – the iPF850 MFP M40, iPF840 MFP M40, and the iPF830 MFP M40.

These powerhouse printing systems are designed to enhance productivity for large workgroups with features such as the high-capacity stacker (iPF850), an auto-switching double roll system (iPF840/850) and high speed throughput. With incredible line accuracy, a 320GB hard drive, excellent media handling, and support for HP-GL/2 and HP RTL files, these printers are easy-to-use, high production printing solutions for any professional with a need for producing intricately detailed full-color renderings, technical drawings, GIS maps, and other large-format output.

The iPF850 High Capacity Stacker provides a flat surface to offload prints and eliminates the need for operator handling. Built for high productivity, this stacker automatically picks up documents of mixed sizes and stacks them up to 100 sheets for long print runs. The two available media rolls on the iPF850 and iPF840 printers allows for immediate switching between different media types or the use of two rolls of the same paper for printing of large, consecutive runs. Canon’s unique sub-ink tank system, allows users to replace ink on-the-fly without stopping the printer.

Addressing the needs of a diverse range of users, Canon includes or makes available downloadable software to help users create more productive and efficient workflows. Direct Print & Share software has a Shortcut Print feature that allows users to drag and drop files if they wish to print into hot folders on their desktop. Canon’s imagePROGRAF Print Utility mobile app helps facilitate wireless printing from an iPad® device. The imagePROGRAF Print Utility now supports JPEG and PNG files.
