Canon Expands imagePROGRAF PRO Series with Four New Models for the Fine Arts, Photographic and Production Signage Markets in Latin America
MELVILLE, N.Y., August 16, 2016 – Canon U.S.A., Inc. - Latin America Group a leader in digital imaging solutions, is pleased to announce four new inkjet printers to the imagePROGRAF PRO Series product line; the11- color plus Chroma Optimizer 44-inch imagePROGRAF PRO-4000 and 24-inch imagePROGRAF PRO-2000 for unsurpassed photo print quality, as well as the 8-color 60-inch imagePROGRAF PRO-6000S and 44-inch imagePROGRAF PRO-4000S, which are designed to economically create eye-catching posters and vivid displays.
Ideal for professional photography and fine art reproductions, the imagePROGRAF PRO-4000 and PRO-2000 printers are designed to exceed expectations for image quality, color consistency and productivity. Empowered by a unique Canon-to-Canon workflow that links images captured with an EOS Digital Camera and printed with an imagePROGRAF PRO Series printer, known as Crystal-fidelity, these printers can produce spectacular large-format output that maintain all of the color, texture, contrast, and emotion captured in the original image. The 44” wide PRO-4000 and 24” wide PRO-2000 large-format printing systems feature new technologies and innovations that provide the foundation for an ultra-high quality photography imaging solution that is available only from Canon!

Further enhancing the user experience with these new imagePROGRAF PRO printers is the intuitive software solution of Print Studio Pro. With a focus on quality and ease of use, Print Studio Pro is a plugin for Adobe® Photoshop®, Adobe Lightroom®, Adobe Photoshop Elements® and Canon Digital Photo Professional. This software will help to dramatically improve fine details and gradations for a highly accurate reproduction of the original captured image and easily exports files directly to the printer. Quick Utility Toolbox provides users with a portal to launch and control all Canon software from one central interface. The Accounting Manager utility will help users keep track of consumable costs such as ink and media, helping to determine their overall printing expenses. Also included is Device Management Console, an administrative tool which provides users with the means to manage up to 50 imagePROGRAF PRO Series printers by monitoring activity and printer information such as error messages and the execution status of calibrations.

Another innovation that has been incorporated into these printers is a Multi- positional basket. The basket can be configured to be:
- Catch basket
- Flat stacking
- Front delivery (positioned directly below the delivery output)
- Slope (can be used to display a print)
