Canon is pleased to announce the release of Therefore™ 2015 in Latin America
MELVILLE, N.Y., August 5, 2015 - Canon U.S.A., Inc. – Latin America Group is pleased to announce the release of Therefore™ 2015. With this latest release, Therefore™, Canon’s premier and exclusive information management solution, extends the way organizations capture, index, process, store, and share information, and helps better manage business processes by introducing Business Analytics, the Therefore™ Portal, and many more enhancements.
Overview:Therefore™ enables you and Canon to expand beyond the realm of input and output management by delivering information management and business process optimization, helping you become a part of the customer’s entire document and information workflow. This provides new revenue streams, upselling opportunities, and a high-value, consultative, professional service approach to your customers.
Therefore™ 2015 adds even more value and differentiation to your services by providing a way to monitor and assess how the solution is performing with the use of the new Business Analytics feature, enabling you to offer knowledgeable consultations and, ultimately, implementations of process improvements. Additionally, with the use of Therefore™ Portal, customers now have a way to provide unlimited, Read-Only access to users outside of their organization to securely and efficiently share information, improving business processes such as invoicing, accounts receivable or accounts payable. With these and other enhancements, this new release delivers a way that can help you build and expand your solutions and services business.
New:
Therefore™ Business Analytics: Provides real time analytics to view the efficiency of workflows and business processes. With Therefore™ Business Analytics it’s possible to receive information on the performance of workflows, such as the number of invoices processed each week, the average processing time for a workflow step or total workflow, or the number of instances processed by each user. By analyzing these reports you can provide knowledge to your customer that can help determine points of improvement within the workflow that can help speed processes and reduce costly wait times. Reports can be preconfigured and set to be generated at specific times, and can even be e-mailed to key personnel automatically.
Therefore™ Portal: Enables external users to securely access their own documents stored in Therefore™. Administrators can make a company’s customer’s or vendor’s documents available only to them for read-only access, ensuring a high level of security while providing greater flexibility and helping add a new level to customer and vendor management processes. The Therefore™ Portal can also be embedded into a website and easily customized to fit the look and feel of the customer’s or vendor’s company by changing the background or adding a logo. This new feature provides a new avenue for you to provide additional consultation and design services to your customers. The Therefore™ Portal is only available with the Therefore™ Enterprise Edition.
Improvements:
Mobile App: The Therefore™ Mobile App now allows editing documents with the support of third-party applications, such as Microsoft Office Mobile or QuickOffice. In addition, the app has been adapted to support reports generated by the new Business Analytics feature. The app is available for Android, iOS, and select Windows mobile platforms.
Full-Text Search: The Therefore™ full-text search engine has been significantly improved to provide more options to find the right document. Searches can be executed based on relevance, hit count, or modification date. This now includes Fuzzy searching, which allows results to be further filtered to identify OCR errors that may need to be handled as exceptions, and more. Moreover, a new multi-lingual thesaurus has been introduced, that allows search results to automatically include words from numerous languages – a great time saver for international or multi-lingual companies. Further enhancements to the way results are displayed in the hit list make it possible to filter and find results even more precisely.
Case Management & Workflow: Therefore™ 2015 offers a newly enhanced Case Management feature to make the use of cases easier and faster – it’s now possible to automatically create cases from an existing database. Version 2015 also introduces a number of new workflow functions, such as moving documents to new categories or to another case, adding a stamp, more automatic tasks, and the ability to start a sub-workflow within a workflow.
