Canon Latin America is pleased to announce the availability of the Direct Print and Scan for Mobile (DPSM) MEAP application

This new MEAP application is a peer-to-peer mobile solution provides mobile print and scan functionality between devices and smartphones and Canon imageRUNNER / imageRUNNER ADVANCE multi- function printers (MFPs).

Melville, December 4, 2014. Canon Latin America is pleased to announce the availability of the Direct Print and Scan for Mobile. This is a combination of the MEAP application that resides on the imageRUNNER / imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFP and a client mobile application that is available as a free download at the App StoreSM, Google Play™ Amazon Appstore and BlackBerry App World™.

The Canon Direct Print and Scan for Mobile application helps expand the capabilities of the mobile workforce with an array of printing and scanning opportunities. iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ tablet/phone and BlackBerry® smartphone users can perform the following:

• Print emails, PDFs, and photos to Canon imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs
• Scan hard copy documents from Canon imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs to their iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ tablet/phone and BlackBerry® smartphones
• Manage Canon MFPs, as well as print and scan features via their iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ tablet/phone and BlackBerry® smartphones

The imageRUNNER / imageRUNNER ADVANCE device MEAP application for the Canon Print and Scan for Mobile application is a chargeable item.

imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE Requirements:
imageRUNNER and imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFPs require either the Direct Print Kit or PS Printer Kit to be installed (if not already installed). Color MFPs will require the Additional Memory Type B (512MB) or Type D (512MB) in addition to the Kit.

The client mobile application is available as a free download. Both the MEAP and client mobile components are required to enable the communication between the MFP and iPhone®, iPad®, Android™ tablet/phone and BlackBerry® smartphones.
