The new Canon imageCLASS multifunction printers have features that help increase productivity and efficiencies in homes and small offices

MELVILLE, N. Y. October 23, 2014 - Canon Latin America, Inc., leader in digital imaging solutions introduced three new models to the imageCLASS Series: The multifunctional black and white laser printer imageCLASS MF229dw wireless1 and the laser multifunction black and white imageCLASS MF226dn and imageCLASS MF216n. These printers have enhanced features that increase productivity and automate workflows for home users and small offices.

The imageCLASS MF229dw, MF226dn and MF216n devices are designed with features to meet a variety of needs and budgets. They are also the first imageCLASS printers with a six-line black-and-white touch screen LCD display. With this feature, end users can customize the home screen so that they can access their most used features quickly and with ease.

For efficiency, all MFPs come with the Quiet Mode2 option, which helps reduce operating noise and ensures quiet operation in any work environment. These printers also offer the ID Card Copy function, which is useful in hospital settings and other settings where users are required to quickly register information on the patient's license or similar identification cards.

The three models of the MF200 series offer Canon Mobile Printing for Business3 and Canon Mobile Scanning for Business4. These free apps are designed to help keep pace with today’s demanding and changing workforce. The MF229dw, MF226dn and MF216n also support Apple AirPrint5, which allows Apple users to print their work to a Canon device from an iPhone and iPad support. The three printers offer Mopria™ Print Service6, a simple solution for users to print documents, emails, web pages and photos from compatible Android KitKat 4.4 smartphone or tablet.
