Canon launches its imageFORMULA P-208, a personal document scanner ideal for mobile use at home, the office, and anywhere in between.

Lima, June 2013 (AVANT GARDE RP) Offering the best solutions for customers, Canon launched its imageFORMULA P-208, a compact document scanner that can be moved from location to location as easily as it moves paper-based info to Windows® and Mac® devices and beyond.

Thanks to its capability to scan in no time by simply connecting a USB cable to the computer, without the need to install software drivers or applications, Canon's imageFORMULA P-208 is launched as the ideal option for stationary users and "road warriors" as well. Multiple scanning functions are just a click away and the result is optimum image quality.

Scan receipts, business cards, photographs, bills, contracts, reports, letters, plastic ID cards, driver licenses and more with the imageFORMULA P-208 scanner. Also, Canon's CaptureOnTouch embedded software allows users to configure scanning tasks beforehand.

In addition, users can scan directly to cloud applications, such as Evernote™ and Microsoft® SharePoint®. ISIS® and TWAIN drivers are included for easy integration with third-party content capture or management systems.

Robust Features:

imageFORMULA P-208 features an Automatic Document Feeder which allows for a 10-page run and two image sensors for simultaneous 2-sided processing. Auto Resolution setting automatically adjusts the resolution for improving image quality when scanning mixed document or photo batches.

Another important feature is the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) capability, this helps convert scanned paper documents into digital data that can be easily searched, stored and shared.

Environment in Mind:

P-208 meets ENERGY STAR® guidelines for energy efficiency and complies with the EU RoHS and WEEE directives for the reduction of hazardous substances and waste products.
